Motel for Lovers

Issued on Vol. 15 of Something Weird's "Double Softies" series, MOTEL FOR LOVERS runs a scant 40 minutes, so it is likely that a hardcore edition exists with another reel or so of XXX content. But this is lousy, generic porn in any form.

It consists merely of several scenes of couples checking into a hot sheets motel, charged $12 a night. They hump with minimal small talk or sex talk, and nothing of interest happens. Even stag loops usually had some sort of plot hook, like Santa coming down the chimney, but nada here. This movie is more in the "slice of life" school, perhaps the dullest form of cinema.

With the overly used folk Muzak soundtrack opening segment has Suzanne Fields humping a scraggly young guy. It looks real, but there is no penetration shot shown.

Second couple is from Canada, with the girl sporting a tall and unsteady wig. She's attractive but wasted here.

Early porn star Judy Angel is introduced on the phone complaining of her visible bruises. She smokes and masturbates until two friends show up to service her. The discussion is all about how her old man hit her, but hubby doesn't get involved in the action -this all comes off in Porno Universe as ad libbing to explain away some highly visible real life bruises porn actress Judy may have acquired while moonlighting in rough trade, perhaps?

Trio smokes dope, has a threesome including lesbian sex, and chat moronically, but at least an entertaining jazz score creeps in. Their fake expressions vocally of passion are a joke. Rainbow Robbins is credited in IMDb, but this other girl opposite Judy made little impression on me.

Afterwards they have a fight but the shredded print renders the finale unintelligible.
