And she doesn't know what a curlew is . . .

Let's take a moment and consider what THAT tells us about: the writing, the directing, the research, the basic skills of the people involved in this project. AND that sentence is the first defining moment . . . Well . . . No . . . The first was when she took a baby bird from a nest. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm so far from being a 'world renowned ornithologist' and even I know, you don't touch the babies. Mom will be right back. She's out getting food.

So. Stupidity all around the topic that is central to the film. The life work of the protagonist.
