After going out after work together, a pair of girlfriends are abducted and held captive in the possession of a rabid serial killer who releases them one by one to later chase them down and kill them, but as more women appear to be the next victims they're forced to extreme measures to get out alive.
Overall, this was a decent enough indie slasher. Among the better aspects here is the solid setup that enables the film to provide some decent enough indie thrills. The abduction of the various victims and leading them into the remote shack where they awake in animal costumes only to be set free and forced to escape from the masked killer is a wholly serviceable type of storyline for this kind of effort. It allows for a shifting focus on the various women who he goes out and stalks to take back to the cabin which is where this one really shines. As the first half provides the gathering of the girls and the kinky nature of the animal costumes they're forced to wear, the second half turns into a rather silly series of confrontations with the killer coming across random characters to kill them one by one. With the scenes filmed as straightforward indie-style ambushes where he walks up to the victim or is seen and approached in a misguided attempt at placating his interests, they're not that scary but there's enough here with the low-budget gore to give this some positive features. There are some issues to be had with this one. The biggest drawback here is the seemingly randomized storyline that comes off as a discordant series of actions. While the plot manages to quite effectively provide an indie-based setup for all kinds of random confrontations, that ends up meaning that the film feels exactly like the random encounters it's made up of so it just goes along pitting a slew of faceless characters against the killer. There's a jumbled feel to everything here where it forgets the main cast at various stretches to get these scenes in which leaves the film feeling like a hodge-podge of scenes brought together. As well, there are the obvious low-budget issues on display here that can potentially bring this down as the kills are conceived through obviously flimsy props and lackluster effects, the one-note location is quite problematic and the entire film being filmed in a washed-out filter that makes for a really troubling time here all stick out through this factor quite easily. The filter is what makes it look cheaper than it really is as the effect is intended to be old-school which it fails at, and comes off together to be the flaws with this one.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language, Graphic Violence, and Nudity.
