Heer Ranjha is a famous romantic tragedy from Punjabi folklore. The story is set in Punjab, Pakistan, and revolves around the love story of Heer, a beautiful and intelligent young woman, and Ranjha, a poor but honest and hardworking shepherd.

When Ranjha heard of Heer's death, he returned to the village and went to Heer's tomb. He too was overcome with grief and died beside her tomb. The tragic love story of Heer and Ranjha became a legend, and their love story has been retold in many different forms over the years, including songs, plays, and films.
