A classic sports story for kids brought to life on screen.

I remember listening to that story when I was in grade school. I even remember it was once a review book for an episode of Reading Rainbow. This version from the Scholastic Storybook Treasures collection is an excellent adaptation. The animation is just as funny as the book was, and Diana Canova did an excellent job narrating the story. Even the music for this version fit the plot perfectly. I even loved watching Coach Viola Swamp come to life on screen. That substitute coach may look mean, but she knows how to whoop a football into shape for a big game.

I also recommend you watch Miss Nelson Is Back!
