This is the second successful collaboration of four actors Kader khan ' Mithun Chakraborthy ' Jackie Shroff 'And Shakti Kapoor. Their first successful collaboration was in Shatranj 1993. Shapath was released in 1997.In this Movie The Kader Khan scenes were with Mithun Chakraborthy only .Jackie Shroff and Shakti Kapoor don't have scenes with Kader Khan' which don't happened in their previous collaboration. Mithun Chakraborthy has scenes with all the other three actors in this movie Shapath 1997.

A Classic.... Mithunda & Jackie are terrific...

Rajiv Babbar's box-office super-duper-hit 'Shapath' is escapist cinema at it's best. A highly-entertaining film with Mithunda & Jackie delivering terrific performances.

My advice to all who haven't seen this killer flick yet: Don't look for logic in 'Shapath', it's an out-and-out masala film, it's for those who enjoy Hindi Cinema for it's ever-lasting escapism. Remember my advice!

Altaf Raja delivered a super-hit song in here, 'Ishq Aur Pyar Ka', which proved to be a smash hit. In fact, it became a rage across the nation. Babbar's direction is superb, this is his best work.

Acting wise, as mentioned, Mithunda & Jackie are in terrific form. Both of the Legendary actors are a treat to watch. Shakti Kapoor is excellent, his comedy track is truly hilarious. Ramya looked great then and her performance is up-to the mark. Kader Khan, Gulshan Grover & Salim Ghose are perfect in their parts. Others lend able support.

I loved 'Shapath', I've seen this film many, many times. So of course, I recommend this film to all Hindi Cinema Fans! Thumbs Up!
