As to the "investment" made in the "film" Miami Beach Cops, there are some factoids concerning such matters: -1 it was shot on 16mm film. -2 90% of the cast and crew worked on a differed salary arrangement, and other than possibly the producer, none have yet to be paid. Obviously this project has gotten some kind of distribution. -3 A large number of the crew were either recently graduated film students, or active film students. -4 a large amount of the gear used to make the film was borrowed from a film school. -5 other than catering/craft services, and film stock/processing, there were little real expenditures in the production of this film. -6 audio post production was done by a (now defunct) music studio, which was attempting to make its way in the post production scene. -All that being said, they definitely got what they paid for.
