Producer blamed Mukul Anand for a disjointed production that lacked emotions. Dharmendra did not work with this director again.

Praiseworthy....

Main Balwan Directed By Mukul Anand Agneepath Movie Fame is An Action Thriller. Script is Interesting. Direction & Screenplay is Outstanding. Comedy Or Unintentional Humor is Brilliant. Action is Less But Effective.

Rai Bahadur(Raza Murad) Also Known As Heera is A Diamond Thief. His Son Anil(Suresh Oberio)Loves Geeta(Rita Bhaduri). Heera Wants Anil To Be Next Heera But He is Not Interested. DCP Harishchandra Chaudhary(Dharmendra) is Brother Of Geeta. He is Against Them. Anil & Geeta Ran Away From Home And Get Married. They Have Baby Too. Anil Suffers When He Has No Money. He Tries To Rob But Gets Killed By DCP. Geeta Goes Missing. Baby is Raised by DCP.

After Years Tony(Mithun) Lives With Uncle DCP Chaudhary. Love Track Starts Between Natasha(Meenakshi Sheshadri) & Tony. Tony Does Few Illegal Activities To Earn More Money. Chaudhary Comes To Know By Help Of Commissioner Basu(Utpal Dutt). He is Behind Bars Now. Basu & Chaudhary Decide To Make Him Heera To Catch Real Heera ?

Dharmendra & Utpal Dutt Are Praiseworthy With Their Comic Timing. Mithun is Good As A Dancer in Songs And In Few Scenes With His Dialogues. Raza Murad Does Well. Menakshi Sheshadri is Wasted. She Has Few Scenes & Three Songs.

Music By Bappi Lahiri Is Good. "Rock N Roll" & "Halla Gulla" Are Catchy Songs. Title Track is Good.
