Kekkonen, Finland's Kennedy

Finnish movie is always worth watching, this is worth watching many times. Jäähyväiset presidentille is filmed in the city of Tampere and its surroundings. I happen to live in Tampere, so even seeing the familiar scenery makes this film look more real. Film is a crime story, but there's much more happening: love, politics etc.

Film is ordinary one, but nice humor, great actors and atmosphere make it special for me. Hannu Lauri is main reason to watch this movie, what a great act in the role of Arto Mertanen, man with guns, strong political opinions and nice car. Other great actors worth mentioning are Aake Kalliala, Antti Litja and Laila Räikkä. One thing I didn't like was the ending. Somebody should have...
