In this flick there is spoof , humor , fun and guffaws . An amusing but average Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs . Tato Montini (Andrés Pajares), a popular radio show host and a playboy , agrees to
Sr. Povedano (as José Sazatornil 'Saza') once dead to donate his penis . Montini then falls from an elevator and dies , goes to Heaven where is relentlessly pursued by a lot of of beautiful girls (Emma Ozores , Josele Román..) who want to make love with him and there he discovers that even in afterlife he would have still needed his dick .
¨El Donante¨ is a charming as well as embarrassing sex comedy that contains crazy events , nudism , amusement and bewilding situations . Nutty comedy that contains crazy events , laughs , amusement and absurd set pieces . It takes a simple concept , a playboy radio host and ladies man agrees to donate his penis for a transplant after his death , but at the heaven things go wrong . There are some nice jokes in the film and the cast , playing eccentric characters , make a cosy fit . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some fun and hilarious moments . Humor is sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations . Stars the sympathetic actor Andrés Pajares , he is a cool Spanish actor, who usually formed an attractive cinematic couple with Fernando Esteso . Both of whom usually playing a duo of unfortunate , roguish , swindlers as well as bungling people . They usually made couple in a lot of films and achieved much success in the 80s . And especially ¨Los Bingueros¨ was one of their greatest hits . The movies they played were funny and with many support's actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun . Those contained many nude girls , laughs and slapstick , being mostly directed by Mariano Ozores , a craftsman filmmaker and writer , who wrote/directed disconcerting screenplays , he recently won a Goya Award (2016) to his long and fruitful career . The latter made with these two famous comedians , -Andres Pajares and Fernando - several films , as they had various years partnership between the two leads , such as ¨Agitese Antes Usarla¨ , ¨Al Este Del Oeste¨, ¨Los Liantes¨, ¨Los Energeticos¨, ¨La Lola Lleva Al Huerto¨ , ¨El Currante¨, El Hijo Del Cura¨. Support cast is pretty good , plenty of familiar faces , such as : José Sazatornill , Silvia Marsó , Alfonso del Real , Josele Román , Fernando Bilbao , María Isbert , José Maria Tasso, Luis Barbero , Mónica Cano , Emma Ozores , Francisco Camoiras and brief appearance by Gracita Morales, one of the best loved Spanish actresses of all times, her talent for comedy was supported by her peculiar, thrilling voice.
This ¨El Donante¨ or ¨The Donor¨ financed by Izaro Films , is a mediocre picture with some amusing moments , being profesional but middlingly by Ramón Fernández in his usual style and had big success in the Spanish box office similar to other ¨Pajares/Esteso¨ fims which were made in similar wake . Ramón was a craftsman who made a lot of films, being his greatest hits No desearas el vecino del quinto that is deemed to be the most commercial movie of the Spanish cinema and Margarita se llama mi amor. Ramón Fernandez made all kinds of genres such as thriller as Rueda de Sospechosos, Lamuerte ronda a Monica, Religious movies as El Cristo del Oceano, Sor Ye Ye, and especially comedy : Aqui el que no corre vuela, Casa Flora, Un lujo a su alcance, La chica de la piscina, Simon contamos contigo, Doctor me gustan las mujeres, La gloriosa hazaña del cipote de Archidona, Cateto a babor, Las panteras se comen a los ricos, El diablo cojuelo, Los novios de mi mujer, Ahi va otro recluta, among others.
