I don't give a damn about Playboy and Hugh Hefner but the music on this show was amazing. Apparently he appreciated jazz, and I thank God that this show exists as it is an incredible and unique record of such singers as June Christy and Sarah Vaughan in a relaxed and laid back setting, albeit phony and set up. It's only too bad that the camera focuses on some of the silly 'guests'... I think IMDb's data is incorrect. I have never heard of Anita O'Day's appearance on this show, for example, and the dates are obviously wrong as it says 'Anita O'Day 1961, but the show was already gone by then. Goes to show that one should take anything you read on IMDb with a grain of salt - seems they'll publish anything. Very few episodes of this show are available, unfortunately; I hope they are made public sometime soon. Some clips are available on Youtube. Overall, it's well worth watching and a rare glimpse of some of the finest artists of the era.
