A five-part television series premiered on Finnish television in February 9, 1984 on Pikku kakkonen (1977) at Yle TV2 channel.

Alternative Versionen
All the episodes were shortened by 3-5 minutes during the rerun of the series between October 7 and November 4, 1988 on Pikku kakkonen (1977) at Yle TV2 channel. Missing scenes include the prologues and epilogues (told by singing) in snowy Lapland from each episode. Because of this, the original opening and end credits were redone/moved. A 43-minute compilation film, with all the episodes edited into a movie, was released on home video in 1999 (first on VHS and later on DVD). It was compiled of the episodes from the 1988 rerun. It's missing the end credits from episodes #1-4, but the actual episode titles are left intact.
