Documentary on Amazon about soccer bringing cultures and countries together. Soccer remains earth's most popular, yet boring, sport to watch. But since it can be played anywhere for little cost, it allows poor countries an avenue to be athletically competitive with rich countries. In turn, various socioeconomic classes and cultures get to interact with each other in a richly diverse environment. Yay.
Of course, the whole show is built around the yawnfest Americans call soccer, so I can't go higher than a 4.
If you're one of the many people who, like me, prefer real football to soccer, check out Amazon's "All or Nothing." It goes behind the scenes of a real sport where people collide, schemes are complex, and a ball can be thrown instead of a sport where a bunch of people kick a ball around a field leading to a mind-numbing final score of 1-0. Ugh.
