According to director Sam Hargrave, the nationwide ban on firearms on location in India was so strict, the production had to import rubber prop guns without any moving parts. For the first major action rescue sequence, for example, these dummy weapons were used exclusively without any blank rounds being discharged. The entire sequence had to be digitally animated in post to give the impression that shots were being fired.

When the Colonel shoots at the heroes with his sniper rifle, the sound of the shots is heard before bullet impact. High-powered long-range rifle bullets typically travel at over twice the speed of sound, so the bullets would hit before the shots are heard. Additionally, in an urban setting with tall buildings, there would typically be a series of echoes from the loud gunfire.
