If u are a fan of parallel cinema, Love and Shukla will tick most of your boxes. The subtle life story of an "Unimportant" autowala is presented in a rather beautiful manner. Stories around Mumbai's woefully inadequate spaces are not uncommon on screen, yet Love and Shukla sets out to tell a realistic tale, that steps out of the confined space of a room in a chawl to capture the claustrophobia of life for the poor and
underprivileged.
Terrific cinematography & direction by Jatla Siddhartha sets the tone and paints a vibrant picture in audience's hearts. Editing, production design, music, costumes & makeup were all apt & subtly used in a perfectly toned down manner for good effect. Saharsh Kumar Shukla delivers a mature, delicate and a memorable performance, ably supported by all the supporting actors.
Overall, a good watch for parallel cinema audiences as the film is full of tight frames that enhance the frustration and suffocation of the characters. Not recommended for mainstream SRK and Salman Khan audiences.
