This is the pilot version of a Japanese/French co-production of a Lupin TV series made in 1982. Due to copyright issues surrounding the Arsène Lupin name, not a single episode was completely finished and the whole project was canceled. 30 years later the pilot episode was included on the Lupin 40th Anniversary Master File Blu-ray set as a bonus. There is no spoken dialogue, instead the anime features hardcoded Japanese subtitles.
