Plot

Cast
Laurence Leboeuf returns as Apple
Verdict
Turbo Kid (2015) was a fantastically over the top enjoyable Canadian post apocalyptic comedy that was quirky and full of whimsy. This spinoff revolving around the origins of the delightful Apple is a fantastic companion piece.
Remember the corpse that Apple has as a friend prior to joining Turbo Kid? This is basically the story behind that and it's charming with our leading lady Laurence Leboeuf (Yes I still can't get my head around a girl named Laurence) winning us over once again as our goofy cyborg.
Standing at less than 10 minute it manages to tell a story with a beginning, middle and an end and it left me wanting more. Her death in the feature movie was the only thing that stopped Turbo Kid from being a really damn good cult film in my eyes, seeing her alive and well being her silly self here was much appreciated.
It's also worth noting that as much as this is a short film it's also a music video and makes for a fantastic example that music you'd never listen to otherwise that's entirely not your genre can still be enjoyable if used in a movie correctly.
Breakdown + Charming + Great companion piece
Rants
Can you imagine dating Laurence Leboeuf? Finding yourself telling people her name and immediately needing to jump in to clarify that she's a girl. It's like going home and telling your family you're dating a lady named Fred, you'd probably lead with she's a girl lest you risk giving your bigot father a heart attack! Also just imagine dating Laurence Leboeuf anyway *Swoons*

- Music element is bearable but would have likely worked better without
