This is a remake of Face Dancer's 'Red Shoes' from their debut album 'This World'. The remake was done by the primary songwriter, Scott McGinn, and is very complementary to the original. The drum track is a little less 'droning' then the original and makes the song sound fresh even after all these years. This should have been a major national hit for the band had the record company known how to properly promote them. Keep in mind this came out at the same time as 'My Sharona' and in my opinion stands up better over the years. The original Lead Singer, Carey Kress, passed away in 2009 and Stephen Hancock does a great job of channeling Carey while making the song his own.
