"I Have a Lover" made me bawl my eyes out and feel a lot of emotions I never could have imagined experiencing. It's so damn heart-wrenching yet so achingly and addictively beautiful.
Even with 50 episodes, I found myself binge-watching it day and night, and hoping it had a hundred more episodes. The images of Do Hae Gang and Choi Jin Eon kept popping up in my head and the emotions kept lingering for weeks. Re-watching and listening to OSTs still make my heart ache until now - 2 years later.
The drama has so many memorable scenes. It has much more depth than the cheating trope the title seems to suggest the drama is focused on, which may have put off many viewers. I, for one, was put off by the title and did not watch it until I saw a captivating clip on Youtube. This is a story of loss, redemption, sacrifice, commitment, love, forgiveness, family, and more.
This is my ultimate melodrama that I keep rewatching over and over again.
