Benchmark was shot on March 20th 2015. At 09:45 on that day a solar eclipse occurred. Filming was held up for several hours due to the large crowds who gathered to witness the eclipse from the shoot location - a park on a steep hill with spectacular views of the Bristol area. The film shoot was still completed (in just 6 hours) and the eclipse even inspired Agent Pravilny's first line of dialogue.
