In this movie, Aad van Toor reprises his role of De Baron, the role he originally played once before in the Bassie & Adriaan serie 'Het Geheim van de Schatkaart' (1987). After this serie, actor Paul van Gorcum played the role of De Baron for the rest of all future Bassie & Adriaan series. This role made him a fan favorite. However, Paul van Gorcum claims he was never approached to reprise his role of De Baron for this movie.
