Tony Kava
Anthony "Tony" Kava is a hacker, public speaker, and law enforcement professional based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He works as a digital forensics examiner and cyber crime investigator with a background in Information Technology and a focus in cyber security. Since 2009, he has investigated hundreds of cases including incidents involving Homicide, Missing Persons, Human Trafficking, Robbery, Sex Crimes, Fraud, Narcotics, and many other criminal violations. He has given talks at hacking conferences and speaks regularly to academic, government, and non-profit audiences.
Kava has been interviewed in episodes of Dateline NBC, ABC 20/20, Oxygen Snapped, Investigation Discovery True Conviction, and A&E American Justice. His work on the Cari Farver missing persons case was featured in Leslie Rule's book, "A Tangled Web: A Cyberstalker, a Deadly Obsession, and the Twisted Path to Justice," published in 2020. He will be portrayed by Erik Athavale in the Lifetime Original movie, "The Disappearance of Cari Farver," which airs in October 2022.
