While a comic at the Comedy Store, he is known to have suggested to comic Jim Carrey, that Carrey transform his one-joke burn victim into a fire marshal who burns himself while teaching fire safety. Carrey took Henderson's advice and the character "Fire Marshal Bill" was born.
