Ruth Hausmeister(1912-2012)

Character actress who made an impact in 1950's and 60's films like "Die Brücke", "Der längste Tag" and "Stahlnetz". Her voice was also heard in radio with station RIAS in Berlin. She was initially trained as a ballet dancer. Her film work was generally subordinated to her lengthy theatrical career, beginning in 1933. She was married to the well-known actor and director Carl-Heinz Schroth.
