This is an original real action drama with an uncanny story and impressive fighting scenes that depicts the battle between "Kegare Yaiba (impure blades)" created by the darkness of the human heart and "Fuujinshi (sealers)" who seal them.

Two souls were drawn to each other without any possible escape from their doomed fates. It was in an era when the country was divided in the north and the south. A legendary woman "Shiren"(Hiromi NAGASAKU) who was born to a family of assassins. A young sword fighter "Ragi"(Tatsuya FUJIWARA) who looked up to Shiren with admiration. News was brought to the north that said the King of the South "Godai"(Katsumi TAKAHASHI) has revived who once was assassinated by Shiren. Shiren was once again ordered by "kyougoku"(Arata FURUTA), a high-ranking vassal of the North, to assassinate Godai. Shiren was upset about Godai being still alive whom she believed she had killed. Ragi who sensed Shiren's distress volunteered to accompany her on the mission. Shiren's cold heart started to melt by seeing Ragi's determination to be there for and support her. Finally the moment to attack Godai comes. It was the moment when an astonishing truth was revealed to the two who had shared their love by that time.

Time is 1590(Tensho 18 in the Japanese era). After the demise of warlord Nobunaga ODA, Japan was about to be unified by Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI. However, there was one man in Kanto region that was defiant to it. That man, who named himself TenmaOh (Mirai MORIYAMA) and leads the KANTO DOKURO-TO, an armed group hiding in the pitch-black DOKURO-JO (skull castle), once worked for NOBUNAGA. Sutenosuke (Shun OGURI) happens to rescue a woman who has been chased by the KANTO DOKURO-TO, which was headed by the bloodthirsty madman TenmaOh. To hide and shelter the woman, Sutenosuke meets MUKAIYA RANBE (Taichi SAOTOME) at a brothel district. Manipulated by magical fate, people start to congregate in the Kanto region. When the shared past between Sutenosuke and RANBE, and the relation to TenmaOh come to light, it is also the time when the dark ambition of TenmaOh is about to be revealed. Without regrets, Sutenosuke heads for the DOKURO-JO, which is surrounded by 20,000 soldiers, to destroy it and stop TenmaOh's dark ambition with just seven souls.

It is the Edo period in Japan and all seems peaceful. There is a war brewing between demons and humans however. Lead by captain Izumo Wakuraba , a squad of samurai were ready, but the captain disappeared. All is up for grabs now with the return of the queen of the demons, Ashura.

It is a story in the era under the dominance of the warlord Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI. The marvelous master thief Goemon ISHIKAWA (Arata FURUTA) was arrested by the hands of Samonji IWAKURA (Yosuke EGUCHI), a government official. He was sentenced to being boiled alive. The funeral of GOEMON, managed by a mysterious beauty named Masago no Oryu (Yasuko MATSUYUKI), was actually staged by her and her comrades to let GOEMON survive. Then, some southern barbarians such as Pedro MOKKA (Jay KABIRA) appear. They steer Goemon and his gang into treasure hunting to an isolated island in the south called TATARA to find the mystical stone GESSHOSEKI. However, a severe storm hits not only Goemon's ship but that of Samonji too, and all of them are thrown into the sea. After being washed up on the shores of a southern island, they were caught by soldiers of Kugai (Kinya KITAOHJI), the king of the Tatara Island. On the terrible pinch, Karma(Mirai MORIYAMA), the prince of Baraba Kingdom, General Bono and his wife Shuzaku (Mari HAMADA), all of whom hate Kugai, jump into the scene.
