- Three different love stories, set in three consecutive decades, in two neighbouring Balkan villages burdened with a long history of inter-ethnic hatred: this is a film about the dangers - and the enduring strength - of forbidden love.

A story about growing up, love, friendship and heroism. The warm but suspenseful and occasionally spine-chilling film focuses on what happens in the today's world when technology stops working and the 'primal' human instincts come to light.

As if that were not enough, another disaster lurks on the horizon: malicious signs appearing on trees indicate the impending building of a motorway right through the heart of the magical forest. What Martin needs most urgently is a true friend. Together they can fight for the survival of the forest.
