He dies suddenly in a freak accident leaving her emotionally scarred. This is carried by her for a long time. She refuses to befriend or marry any man . She meets many men like Sujit Kumar who try to exploit her after befriending her. Anil Dhawan , her psychiatrist slowly understands her and supports her. They marry in the end after over coming all problems. Yogita is perfect as the innocent gullible college girl. Anil is likable in any role , as a confused lover, as a confident psychiatrist - even when he is sizzling , dancing , prancing with his former girl friends by a roaring fire side. Kabir Bedi with his great height and figure is aptly cast in his small role as the Gardner. he has no dialogues but speaks with his eyes . Over all , a very relevant movie even today .
