Two suburban girls fall victims of a rude, but harmless, prank by some boys whose origins are not clear, but the girls think they are from Philadelphia. Rumours make "almost rape" from the prank, and revenge is needed, so tension between kids from urban Philadelphia and suburban Springville escalates.

David Morse plays Father John McNamee, a catholic priest who accepts a position at an inner-city church. The film begins with Father McNamee as he starts his new job and follows the priest through his struggles in adapting to his new surroundings. Based on a true story.

The Other America is centered on Ari, a homeless teenager.

The narrator, daughter of an Indian man and a Danish women, recounts family and world history while waiting for the cremation of her grandmother to complete.
