- A poetic science-fiction based on a story by a Canadian writer P.K.Page describing the last days of the Earth as perceived by an elderly woman living with her dog in a quiet garden surburb
- On December 6, 1989, 14 young women at Montréal's Ecole Polytechnique were systematically hunted down and shot to death in what became known as the Montréal Massacre. Within hours, everyone knew the name of the murderer but few would remember the names of the women. As Canadians denied the connection between this horrific mass murder of women, a band of Vancouver feminists set out to create Canada's first national monument to name and remember the 14 women. Marker of Change: The Story of the Women's Monument documents their seven year struggle to create "something loving, something permanent" for all women murdered by men.
- The Vancouver Island Compassion Society (VICS) was established to provide affordable, medical-grade cannabis to people with degenerative illnesses throughout Vancouver Island. But all this changed when the storefront was raided by the police and its medicine confiscated. This dramatic story is fueled by the commitment and passion of the Society's operators, the anxiety and desperate need of its patients, the heated debate within the medical community, and the exasperation of the police who are asking for clarity as they attempt to enforce increasingly unenforceable laws. The film follows the story of VICS Director Philippe Lucas, as he faces the closure of his organization and a pending court appearance. The film features many patients speaking about how marijuana helps to alleviate the symptoms of their diseases, and interviews with law enforcement and medical experts.
