Six year old Azad (a Kurd from Iraq) was engaged to his cousin Vian but after that the two kids were separated due to the political situation. At 19, Azad accidentally witnessed the murder of Vian's father and had to leave the country. On board the ship to Europe he met a beautiful girl and fell in love with her without recognizing that she was his fiancée Vian. Vian, on her part, did not reveal herself to him because she thought he had been involved in the murder of her father and she tried to suppress her feelings towards Azad. She went to Germany; he had to remain in Bulgaria due to a false ID. Azad did enormous efforts to find Vian and he finally succeeded. This time she revealed herself to him because her love proved to be stronger than her doubts. Unfortunately Vian was already involved in a deadly game being obsessed with the aim to take revenge for her father. Azad made everything to stop and save her even if he would never see her again. Is love going to prevail once again over terrorism?

Through his whole life he is fighting the twisted world he lives in. In the end, in a moment of enlightenment, he realizes: "It cannot be done, someone decided he wanted to die. Path must be passed. Faith to be gathered. Life to be lived!"

Two villages with a predominantly Catholic population. Situated in contrasting geographical areas of Bulgaria, differing in cultural traditions as well. The people in them live in fellow feeling with their neighbors - Orthodox and Muslim. The film simultaneously traces life in the two villages within a single weekday. It reveals mutual religious understanding as part of the life philosophy of people of different denominations. "It all starts with bread!" says one of the characters. The film gradually "adds" to his words: "And nothing ends with the fences."

Siham Raadi, a 30-year-old Iraqi woman was found slaughtered in her room in the Student Campus in Sofia, July 1988. She was the wife of Hussein Salman, a Iraqi and a former fellow-student of the filmmakers at the National Academy of Theatre and Film Art in Sofia. The murderer has not been found. Was Siham part of a greater game? At the time, Sofia was the European center of the Iraqi secret services; the Soviet block was supporting Saddam and at the same time was giving refuge to those prosecuted by his regime. Obviously, that tricky game took its toll. Even today nobody is interested in the reopening of the case.
