When Newfoundland locks down during the COVID-19 pandemic, a former dancer becomes further trapped in a toxic relationship with her emotionally abusive husband. Increasingly isolated and with only a goldfish as a friend, she is forced to choose between placating her husband and freeing herself.

After Raam, an international student, moves to Newfoundland to pursue his dreams and education, his housemate Joseph loses his job amidst the global pandemic. As they set out on a whale watching trip together, tragedy strikes leaving Raam questioning everything he knows.

Every winter in St. John's, a group of women meet once a week to play recreational ice hockey, learn new skills and forge friendships.
