Greta (16) and Caterina (11), who grew up in a difficult and atypical family, with an absent father and a mother suffering from neurosis and madness, spend the summer with their grandfather Franco, who survived a great earthquake in central Italy. She is always protecting herself, and she is always haunted by thoughts, never letting herself be exposed or show any weakness. Caterina, on the other hand, is pure craziness. She is almost deaf, so since she was a child has developed all her other senses.
