- Sara is a teenager with a troubled past. On a cold winter evening, she escapes from the residential juvenile community to save her little sister from the sexual slavery to which her father forces her. The discovery of the ogre will force Sara into a real struggle to win her freedom.

Ada is a young woman of thirty whose daughter was kidnapped some years before. From that day on she has led a personal investigation searching for the truth. Eddi, a transsexual in his sixties, is the host of a late night radio programme. Together with Agnes, he founded an association that through various propaganda activities, including the radio, struggles to find the truth. On the night of November 5th the stories of these characters will be inexorably intertwined, leading us to a bitter and shocking discovery.
- Massimo is the owner of a beach resort where he lives with his wife and two daughters. Everything has changed since he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

The wake is attended by a plethora of attendees who have come to pay their emotional respects; Andrea is there too, realizing that to prove to his friend that he has changed, he must be entirely, irreversibly, disrespectfully out of place.
