A documentary short directed by Jørgen Vestergaard about Kaptajn Voms Theatre created by Albert Erastus Daucke, widely known as "Beck" Daucke . The marionette theater traveled from 1912 to 1937 across Denmark. In 1962, Beck Daucke donated his puppets and props to the Nationalmuseets 3. afd., Dansk Folkemuseum (the National Museum's third district, the Danish Folk Museum). In a nostalgic look back at the past, Vestergaard attempts to recreate the marionette performances and techniques utilized by Daucke, thus preserving on film this aspect of early 20th century Danish culture.
