Eight thousand moons ago the Dark Lord Saurnimort (the "T" is silent, you petulant pissants!) found himself cast upon the magical plane of Musilasia - a land where all beings great and small are compelled to burst into spontaneous song and dance - whether they want to or not. After several failed attempts to return to his home plane, Camorhog, Saurnimort had no choice but to resign himself to a life in the eternally and infuriatingly cheery land of Musilasia - but he doesn't have to like it. Thwarted at every step by his arch nemesis, The White Wizard Merdalfdore (also known as The Sleep Walker, due to his narcoleptic tendencies), Saurnimort attempts to contrive a spell that will rid Musilasia of its melodious blight. His latest scheme requires the still-beating heart of a fairy, and Saurnimort has set his eyes on Absidy, daughter of The Fairy Queen - but with this feisty fairy, the Dark Lord may have bitten off more than he can chew. With an eclectic supporting ensemble of fantasy characters - including Larry the Minion, Captain Awesome, Professor Bumblebee, and The White Witch Neandrathill - Dark Lord: The Musical promises to be an entertaining and epic musical send-up of the fantasy genre.

Lord Saurnimort continues his schemes to rid the Musilasians of their singeritus. He dispatches his chief lackey, Larry the Minion, to kidnap the fairy with the Burgundy Begonia Birthmark and bring her back to Saurnimort, so that he can complete his nefarious spell. But Larry longs for a different life.

Stuck together in the Woeful Woods, Absidy and Galladin the Paladin unpack Galladin's deepest secret - a secret even Galladin himself has not allowed himself to realize.

Merdalfdore and Neandrathill discuss the Prophecy which foretold the coming of a Chosen One who shall bring about the Fall of the Dark Lord. They enlist the help of Professor Bumblebee to summon the Chosen One from the Planes of Weirdness.

Absidy and Galladin the Paladin rescue Larry from a pack of "dangerous" creatures in the Woeful Woods. Larry befriends Absidy, and debates whether he should continue his allegiance to the Dark Lord, or shift allegiance to Absidy.

Merdalfdore recants to Captain Awesome his (very long) life story, and the reasons for his vigilant fight against the forces of darkness. Meanwhile, Larry returns to Saurnimort empty-handed. Enraged, Saurnimort decides that he shall have to take Absidy's kidnapping into his own hands.

Saurnimort invades the camp of Absidy and Galladin the Paladin. After quickly disposing of Galladin the Paladin, Saurnimort kidnaps Absidy - but soon finds she is not quite what he had expected.

As Saurnimort and Absidy continue their trek back to Saurnimort's Terrible Tower of Torture and Torment, the two discover that they have more in common than they originally thought. An unexpected visitor, however, interrupts their bonding.

Merdalfdore discovers that the Great War is nothing but a decoy. Meanwhile, Absidy and Saurnimort continue to grow closer, leaving Larry as their reluctant third wheel.

Absidy ventures to the Vale of the Fairy Queen to ask for her mother's blessing for her to be with Saurnimort, but does not quite receive the reception she expected.

The White Wizard Merdalfdore, sensing that a new evil scheme of the Dark Lord's might be brewing, sends Absidy, the fairy princess, into the Woeful Woods under the protection of Galladin the Paladin.
