This offbeat, shameless comedy follows the lives of eight diverse writers vying for a staff writer position on a television series at United Broadcasting Station (UBS), a once-prominent, but now-declining dinosaur network. Morty Fischbein, executive in charge of multiple Emmy-winning shows from the 1970's and 1980's, has finally been demoted all the way down to Head of the Diversity Writing Program, as the UBS legal team fights the many lawsuits filed against him for discrimination and sexual harassment. His new position disappoints the diverse writing mentees, who expected anyone but an old white racist guy. Unfortunately, they're in for an even bigger shock when the final mentee arrives - a seemingly straight, seemingly white, seemingly male writer. But the original seven mentees scheme to figure out how this white guy got in, and at least it takes their minds off of the disaster program they find themselves trapped in.

Documentary follows a day in the life of Pasadena Unified School District, capturing personal stories of students, teachers, and staff to highlight the dedication and complexities within public education.

A male teenager, raised by a devout Catholic mother questions his manhood. Between being bullied and victimized by his peers, he struggles to make sense of the world around him. He crosses paths with a street gang and fails to resist them. Caught in the gang bangers grip, he is forced to commit an unimaginable crime, which leads to heartbreaking circumstances.

Amidst the dinner party for the slightly unhinged soap opera star Jesse Chandler Montgomery, the unimaginable occurs as one of his cast members from the soap opera, "The Young and the Rest of Us" is murdered, prompting Jesse and his arch nemesis Kit, to race against time and the risk of losing their status and fame, while they embark on solving the murder mystery, navigating through various complications and comical hijinks.

Eight writers in a TV network diversity program catered toward PC culture, compete for a staff position while being led by a racist, washed-up exec left over from the days before cable.
