A visit to Kaabong is worth a one-to-two day visit when travelling from Moroto to Kidepo Valley. Kaabong boasts one of the most fascinating sceneries in the region. Its most characteristic feature is the kopjes – huge granite rocks scattered over the undulating plains.
The hills along the northeastern borders with South Sudan and Kenya offer jaw-dropping views from the edge of the East African Rift escarpment, providing a truly breathtaking view of the semi-arid landscape.
