Corporate strategy

In the upcoming four years (2022-2026) the KNVB will act on a new strategic course.

We continuously want to take Dutch football to the next level and we want to use the power of football to unite people to make a positive impact on society. We will do this together with the clubs from the national leagues, the grassroots clubs, the government and our business partners.

Orange

Our football colors the world orange. This is the color that represents our DNA and it is the worldwide symbol for our unique way of approaching the game of football. Every weekend hundreds of thousands of people visit our football stadiums or go to play football themselves. And on top of that millions of people watch the games in the national leagues live on television from the comfort of their own home. This strong foundation has brought us so many beautiful moments over the years. Together with our clubs and our national teams we have been competing for the trophies for more than 50 years. On this journey we have never been without the support of our dedicated fans.

Next level

Our new strategic plan takes our strong foundation to the next level. The way football is being played and experienced, is changing. We have to adapt to these chances, on all levels. And we have ambitions. We want to continuously reinforce the foundation of our grassroots competitions, become a part of the best of Europe with our professional leagues and dream to become world champion with Oranje and the OranjeLeeuwinnen someday. We have brought this all together within the following six goals.
