    INTRODUCTION

Let me begin by saying welcome into my world. I am getting ready to do what makes me happy and I hope that you will enjoy what I have cooked up for you. You will receive some great cuisine that will support your spiritual and physical being. A healthy living, good exercise, a planned diet and positive thinking are just a few of the ingredients that contribute to fabulous Cuisine for the Soul. We are what we put into our soul, body and mind. Our tomorrow’s rationale is by what we think today, what we eat and how we react to the things surrounding us. We must love ourselves, hug ourselves, pat ourselves on the back and have good self-esteem. When we learn to love, live and be happy we eliminate the probability of depression, cancer, hypertension and other illness. Think healthy, eat healthy, be healthy and enjoy Cuisine for the Soul.

In this book you will find a little of this and a lot of that. That is the way I am. I have written a few pieces of poetry, a sermon or two and some food recipes. A three in one blessing I hope you enjoy.

Note: Life is like an onion, you take it with delight and afterwards you wonder whatever made you bite. The onion looked good and therefore you bite off of it and you tasted that strong, bitter and sometimes sweet taste. Then you begin to think, what made me bite it.( Life is like an onion: you peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep Carl Sandburg quotes (American Historian, Poet and Novelist, 1878-1967)

I know the reputation that an onion has and the powerful strength of its smell and that it may cause my eyes to water or burn and my breath to smell bad, yet, I have bitten into it. It is how life is, we wonder after we have gotten ourselves into a situation what made us do it. Richard Pryor a comedian as well as an actor played the role of Flip Wilson was known to say, the devil made me do it. Flip’s best-known expression was a wide-eyed "The Devil made me do it" . . . . Steve Lawrence, Richard Pryor, when the truth is, we all have choices to make and the choices we make determine who we will become, whom we are and what our future may be.
