The European Union, its Member States and Europeans across the continent are mobilised in support of people fleeing the war in Ukraine. We are working on all fronts to support Ukraine with assistance, humanitarian aid and civil protection. This specific initiative wants to support researchers of Ukraine by providing them with an overview of all existing actions at European and national levels.

The Spanish Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations has launched a Reception Plan for Ukrainian refugees. The plan includes:
- Network of hosting families
- Support from social workers
- Follow-up and service provision
- 6-month to 1 year hosting

Ukrainian citizens affected by the war are subject to temporal protections measures which grant freedom of movement and residence in Spain, as well as a work authorization valid along their entire residence permit.

The Spanish Ministry of Universities has presented the action plan “Plan de Acción Universidad-Refugio” (website in Spanish) which will include measures offered by universities for language and cultural integration, as well as access to other academic social services. The plan also aims at facilitating the recognition of diplomas.
Ucranianos en España is an association of Ukrainian citizens living and working in Spain compiling useful professional and cultural information for expatriates. It is also organizing hosting arrangements for refugees (website in Ukrainian and Spanish).
EU4UA is a platform launched to connect Ukrainian refugees with European hosts
Ven con nosotros is an NGO which has been supporting the reception of Ukrainian children in Spain for 26 years (website in Spanish)
