Ghanaian rapper, Medikal talks about certain hardships his family faced. Moreover, he revealed that he was a victim of “Accra floods” six years ago.

According to the “Omo Ada” hit maker, he and his family lost everything in the fire. However, today he can provide clothes and shelter for himself and the homeless.

Medikal shared a picture from the tragedy with the caption:

“6 years ago our house was flooded, everything was destroyed! We couldn’t afford new clothes ! NADMO came and told us to take pictures for proof so they help but they never showed up ! Today we shop and provide shelter for the homeless ! Never Give up,Time Changes?,” 

International music artiste, Rocky Dawuni releases his highly anticipated 7th studio. The album is Beats of Zion and he released it with Six Degrees Distribution.

The album is a thirteen-track set. Furthermore, this follows the GRAMMY nominated album Branches of the Same Tree. Also, it expands Rocky’s “Afro Roots” sound to include the diversity of the Ghanaian music scene and its current global outreach.

Dawuni recorded in the span of almost 2 years in various studios in Ghana – Accra, Nairobi – and Los Angeles, California. In LA, Rocky used the legendary Village Studios that recorded the most influential artists including Bob Dylan, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, and Fleetwood Mac. The 3 tracks recorded at Village Studios kicked off the entire album making process.

Also he stated that

“We travelled to Zanzibar for a concert shortly after the recording session. At the time, I was still wanting the full African tribal effect that I had imagined. On the eve of my concert at the amazing Sauti za Busara Festival, we saw Batimbo Percussion Magique of Burundi mount the stage. He blew the minds of everyone in the audience. I turned to my manager; Cary Sullivan who was also watching and we thought the same.” 

Ghanaian music group, R2bees releases their new album. Moreover, the much anticipated “Site 15” album is finally out.

The album dropped in the early hours of today, March 1, 2019. However, the duo will be having an official launch/unveil later in the evening at Carbon Night Club, Airport.

The album comes after many pushbacks. The group delayed the album release several times. Therefore this is good news for their fans.

The album contains 15 songs featuring a whole wide range of artists- from Kwesi Arthur, Darko Vibes, La Meme Gang, King Promise and Nigeria’s Wizkid and Burna Boy.

“Site 15” is available on iTunes and all other music streaming services.

Television personality and entrepreneur, Deloris Frimpong Manson talks about her philanthropic deeds. Moreover, she disclosed that her Delay Educational Fund turned Delay Foundation does a lot of philanthropic work. However, it is behind the scenes for some time now.

She spoke about this during the announcement of the foundation’s partnership with Global Cultural Understanding & Economic Development (GCUED). Furthermore, Delay revealed that her foundation paid the tuition fees of many the youth from their junior high school level through to their senior high level

However, she stated that even though it is behind the scenes, they felt it was prudent to announce it publicly now. This is because they want to open their doors to many more people. Also, she is fully ready to do this full time.

The host asked the criteria in selection of the people the Delay Foundation helps. She revealed that they normally spot the people who need the help themselves. She also added that there are times when the people who are in need of the help walk straight to them and after some careful consideration, they begin to help such people too.

Upcoming Kumawood actress, Hannah Mingle shares her story about acting. Moreover, she revealed how she nearly quit as an actress before her career even started. She stated that because the first set she appeared on had top actors like Kwaku Manu, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, Bill Asamoah and others.

According to him, he’s not a mainstream act. Therefore, to tag himself as on is a hyperbole. He made these statements on the ‘Uncut’ show.

Furthermore, he stated that describing himself as a mainstream act in the Ghanaian music industry isn’t easy. There are things he needs to do in order to attain that status.

The host asked when he thinks he will be a mainstream artist. Kelvynboy stated that when it happens, everyone will know his name. Also, stated that his upcoming EP ‘Time’ is the connection with the explosion of his music career

Kelvynboy also corrected the misconception out there that purports that he might never be a mainstream artiste unless he breaks away from Stonebwoy and his Burniton music. He states vehemently that it was totally false because if it is time for him to become mainstream, nothing can stop it.

Actress, Nadia Buari talks about relationships. Moreover, she dishes advice to women in relationship on how to keep their men.

Nadia took to Instagram to share with women what to do to keep a man.

The famed actress told a story of a friend who is trying to tie her man down with a baby. This is because the man doesn’t want to commit. Therefore, she stated that it’s very difficult to keep a man who does not want to be kept and that, a woman’s beauty, a baby or good sex cannot keep a man.

Hiplife artiste, Captain Planet talks about being in a musical group. Moreover, according to him, being in a group limits one’s creative abilities.

“Being in a group limits your creativity in a lot of ways; it is like being in a family, it is not all about you. Whatever decision you take you need to consider the others.

“You cannot spend all your time on a song. It has to be shared because everyone has to prove his or her ability. You cannot do a lot of the things you want to do because of this.

“I may want to do a rap on some portions on a song but you can’t because the other members may think it will not help. You may want to put some guitar strings somewhere but the group says no etc and you have to deal with it.

“But when you are alone, you can do all the things that you like because after all you do not need anyone’s opinion. You can bring on board all the creative ideas you have in your box and do all the acrobatics on the song, it is all yours“

However, Captain Planet admitted that being in a group also empowers you.

“There are good sides too; you learn from each other, exchange ideas and all but the truth still remains that the way you do things as an individual is not the same with a group because it is not all about you anymore”

Furthermore, he spoke about his own group. He hinted that fans of 4X4 should keep their fingers crossed for something great.

“Prince is currently in school in the States, Coded has found a new love that he is concentrating on and I have other businesses I need to focus on so we are all occupied at the moment but we are working on something that will blow the minds of Ghanaians. They should keep up the love for me as a solo act and my group 4×4.”

Burniton Music Group’s signee, Kelvynboy talks about OV. Moreover, he disclosed that the signing of the current musician, O.V is not a problem. OV is the winner of last year’s MTN Hitmaker.

Furthermore, he stated that it wasn’t a thing to affect his journey to become a big name in the Ghana Music Industry.

The Afrobeats singer made the admission that, the signing of another budding act onto the label is something that made them a stronger label. This is because of the different shades they all bring to play for the label. He made these revelations on the ‘Uncut Show’.

The host questioned his feelings if Stonebwoy and Black Ceddi focus all their energy and resources on Okailey Verse. However, he stated that he will be totally cool if the ‘godfathers’ decide to focus on O.V 100%.

He stressed that he is not selfish. He had the same attention when they signed him. Therefore, there is no reason why there should be a problem now if the label wants to do same for a new signee.

Radio and television presenter, Deloris Frimpong-Manso aka Delay brings out a new project. Moreover, the Delay Foundation and the Global Cultural Understanding and Economic Development (GCUED) announced their partnership. This was during a ceremony in Accra, Swiss Spirit Hotel and Suites Alisa.

Furthermore, the partnership is to assist Ghanaian women. Also, the re-engineering of Ghana’s health and education systems to inspire Ghanaians and to improve their standards of living.

At the ceremony, the CEO of GCUED, Antoinette Pitcan said the partnership with Delay Foundation is to ensure Ghana achieves agenda 2030.

Also, Frimpong-Manso stated that their focus will be on the wellbeing of clean water, women, youth, and children empowerment.
