I Will Soon Release A Song With Stonebwoy – Gospel Artiste

It’s very common for musicians of different genres to collaborate on a song these days.

That notwithstanding, the rare mix is that of Gospel musicians and those doing secular music.

There are only a few artistes who have had the courage to do so. Many Gospel artistes fear to be ridiculed by their fans and even religious leaders if they should practice that.

Some on the other hand simply explain they cannot afford to collaborate or feature secular musicians due to their personal beliefs.

But there are those who see nothing wrong with this physically and spiritually and are willing to go ahead with the practice any day.

In Ghana, there are a few Gospel musicians who had over the years featured or collaborated with secular artistes.

Some the them include; Herty Borngreat with Trigmatic and Sarkodie, Gifty Osei with Opanka and most recently Nacee with Guru.

Another Gospel musician who is hopeful to join the trend is Obaapa Gyamfua.

“Collaborating with others doesn’t make us do one thing everyday but it brings a difference. I will keep doing the collaboration with the secular musicians to bring a change in the music industry, someone with a good heart like stonebwoy can bring the change we need, and I will soon release a song with him soon”.

It has become quite ordinary for Gospel artistes to feature secular artistes on their songs and vice versa.

Allow Hiplife Songs In Churches – Mzbel

Mzbel continues with her musings.

Ghanaian musician, MzBel gives her opinions on how pastor should run their churches. According to her, men of God in the country should permit hiplife songs to be performed at their various churches.

Furthermore, she stated that some Christians listen to hiplife songs when they are in their various homes. Therefore, it is not a big deal when churches allow their members to listen to the songs at church.

Also, she said that the place of worship should not be boring for members. However, it must be fun in order to encourage the non-believers to go to church.

Moreover, she stated that some pastors have made the Christian Religion so strict for believers. Therefore, this makes them unconfortable when they are in the house of God. She added that Pastors must entertain their members in order to make the people in church happy.

Mzbel about Pastors entertaining hiplife songs in their churches

‘’I don’t go to church but the church shouldn’t be boring and strict like the way they do it. It should be a place when you go and return home, you feel like going there over and over again. It should be a fun, relaxed and happy place’’

Explaining why churches should be comfortable for Christians, Mzbel detailed that some Christians are facing a lot of challenges so when they visit a place of worship, it is the duty of the man of God to make them feel cheerful in order to reduce the stress. To her, if performing hiplife songs at the church will release the stress of the believer, then she is in for it.
