FYC: Hard Truths is a small film with a big heart. Marianne Jean-Baptiste gives the performance of the year and Michele Austin is incredible.
October 31, 2024 at 8:26 pm #1206002154Ah yes, contemporary actress Pamela Anderson.
I remember her from Baywatch the Movie.
It was the first movie to be shot entirely in slow-motion.
She won the Oscar for it.

October 31, 2024 at 11:03 pm #1206002219The 2020 Best Actress lineup was incredibly strong, and to be honest, I found Lupita’s performance a bit off-putting. I just don’t quite get the hype around it
Finally, someone said it. She’s overrated, even her Oscar-winning performance was overrated. Her theatrical acting is too obvious and unrealistic.

You can’t win an Oscar with a shallow character and amateur acting.

Sorry, I didn’t know how slow you are. I don’t care what your irrelevant post says about her performance in Us, when she literally already has an Oscar. I’m satisfied with her career already 💋 by the way, that “shallow character and amateur acting” got her more critics wins (including NYFCC) than every single one of the eventual Oscar nominees that season. I’m glad all of those critics like amateur acting and shallow characters! Bye hater.

Joker will get 5 nominations before The Substance gets one. You must deal

November 1, 2024 at 7:16 am #1206002359The problem with Demi Moore is that she agreed to give too many scenes for her co-star. As a star returning to the industry, she should have asked to increase the size of her role instead of being overshadowed by Qualley. This will be a problem when evaluating her performance.
it’s even hard to see Moore as the lead here. Qualley took almost everything. Strong performances, but they won’t be nominated.

Sally Hawkins should have won for Blue Jasmine. I don’t understand the hype for Us and Lupita. Cynthia Erivo is underrated here…. Erivo should have won
