The Painted Finch in New South Wales2010 •
This note reviews records of the Painted Finch 'Emblema pictum' in New South Wales and includes the first records of the species breeding in the State, noted as part of an influx in 2007-08. It is suggested that there has been a southward and eastward extension of the Painted Finch's range in recent decades.

The Ngarrindjeri nomenclature of birds in the Lower Murray River region, South Australia2018 •
This paper is a literature-based study concerning avian nomenclature of the Ngarrindjeri language formerly spoken in the Lower Murray River region of temperate South Australia. Ngarrindjeri and modern European Australian classification systems for birds were structurally different. There was no single Ngarrindjeri word that covered all birds. Some species were clustered together under a single term, while others had separate gender-specific names. This study investigates how avian terms were incorporated into the naming of people and places. Analysis of avian classification adds to the understanding of early Aboriginal use and perception of the Australian environment. A detailed list of Ngarrindjeri names for birds is provided.
The Fortescue Marsh in the Pilbara bioregion, Western Australia, is an extensive ephemeral wetland that fills episodically. It is considered as a potential Ramsar site and is recognised as a nationally important wetland and an Important Bird Area. We surveyed birds at 21 sites on the Fortescue Marsh and a further 23 sites (44 sites in total), including nearby claypans Coondiner Pool and Mungthannannie Pool, in the Fortescue Valley over 12 days in March–April and July 2012. A total of 100 bird species (34 waterbird and 66 landbird species) was recorded during the survey. A further 86 bird species (including 28 waterbird species and 58 landbird species) were recorded for this area from searches of databases and the literature (total of 187 species; 62 waterbirds). New and significant observations during the survey included the first breeding record of Australian Shelduck Tadorna tadornoides for the Pilbara, the first breeding records on the Marsh of Black-tailed Native-hen Tribonyx ventralis and Caspian Tern Hydroprogne caspia, and the first record of Australian Painted Snipe Rostratula australis for the Fortescue Valley. Despite this area's importance to breeding and visiting waterbirds, the birds of the Fortescue Marsh remain surprisingly under-studied. We highlight some significant but overlooked literature records of waterbirds on the Marsh. Further ground and aerial surveys, and ongoing monitoring of this region would be valuable.

A review of early Indigenous artefacts incorporating bird materials in the Lower Murray River region, South Australia2018 •
This paper is a literature review of the use of birds in the Indigenous material culture of the Lower Murray River region in temperate South Australia, as observed in the early years of British colonisation. This record is augmented with additional data from fieldwork in the 1980s and early 1990s. It was found that Aboriginal people in this region made artefacts incorporating avian materials based upon their perceived physical and cultural properties. Analysis of material culture with respect to birds contributes to the understanding of Aboriginal use and perception of the Australian landscape.
Website is an online information media that can be accessed through the Internet connection. Providers of information on a web site can be a company, organization or individual involved their respective fields. Event website can be viewed from various aspects, url, domain names and also the content of the website. These elements can describe websites engaged in fields such as business, computers, education, health and sports. This system classifies a website based on the content of the keyword method and the method of weighting Term Frequency - Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF). This classification process through the crawling stage, tokenizing, filtering, and calculate the weight using TF-IDF. This system will provide a collection of links to websites that have been classified by categories. This system has been successfully created by the success of the test is 98%.
