The experimental arrangement revealed collector performance variations, which were validated by SolidWorks simulations. Evacuated tubes were more efficient, but flat-plate collectors were more dependable. In order to enhance efficiency, contextual design changes and hybrid systems were suggested. However, the study acknowledged limitations in controlled conditions and simulated simplifications. The importance of extensive validation and real-world applicability was emphasized. The study advances renewable energy utilization by emphasizing the necessity of customized design for optimum collector performance. It lays the groundwork for future studies in hybrid systems, context-specific design, and thorough techno-economic analysis.

Analyzing their performance in various contexts and evaluating their possibilities as renewable energy sources are the targets. In order to evaluate the heater's effectiveness in heating, energy production, and flexibility, information collected from different locations that have different temperatures will be gathered for the study. Important variables are monitored and studied, including the surrounding temperature, sun irradiation, and thermal transfer speeds. The findings show how flat-plate solar-powered heaters function in various climates, assisting in optimal design and selecting materials for certain locations. This research improves knowledge of the application of green power while enlightening decision-makers, designers, and activists regarding the viability of integrating solar heating technologies as a cleaner option.

The research analyses the efficacy, economic viability, and environmental effect of many collector technologies via the use of qualitative analysis, practical design, and the review of secondary data. A detailed analysis of the differences between evacuated tube and flat-plate collectors reveals the advantages of each type in certain environments. The culmination of this study is a prototype of a cutting-edge evacuated-tube solar water heater that aims to maximize the use of solar energy. Integrating a 58/1800-sized vacuum tube into a thoughtfully crafted water tank is a perfect example of how far in-depth research and creative thinking can take solar water heating systems. Finally, this investigation provides not only a more thorough comprehension of solar water heater technologies, but also a practical answer that exemplifies the revolutionary potential of research-led design in resolving energy efficiency issues.

This paper aims at evaluating the usability of solar passive heating and ventilation systems to p... more This paper aims at evaluating the usability of solar passive heating and ventilation systems to promote energy efficiency and comfort in buildings. The solar passive concepts such as direct, indirect or isolated gain really minimize the usage of mechanical systems of heating and cooling. To achieve these objectives, the current study used a critical thematic analysis of research questions and evidential case studies to examine design strategies, technological developments, implementation issues, and outcomes. To achieve this, a secondary qualitative research approach was utilized whereby data was gathered from literature, cases and technical reports. Specifically, direct gain methods, Trombe walls, and sunspaces showed promising results, capturing heat in great amounts and using less energy. Additional modern features like high-performance glazing, advanced thermal mass materials, and improved insulation techniques also contribute positively to these systems. Nevertheless, fine-tuning of design and the adaptation of each built structure from the climate context often poses some problems that are linked to the initial costs of construction and development of complex design ideas. Indeed, the findings of this study have significant ramifications for future building designs. The use of solar passive elements, advanced materials, and mechanical systems is recommended in construction and design, consistent with climate conditions in the specific region. These measures not only address energy conservation but also comfort and environmental impact goals with a systems-based approach. Thus, the findings of this study contribute to the existing knowledge on solar passive building designs contributing to embracing sustainable building practices leading to an energy-efficient built environment.

In this paper work is done by experimental study and fixture is design for the same. Process has been developing to produce a welding fixture which will join the tube by FSW. The weld is made by a tool rotating at a design rate and moving through the metal being joined. The metal is not melted but, mixed at particular temperature. Fixture is design in a such way that whole process of rotational speed of the tool and the pressure by which the tool is pressed is well controlled. Result in high strength join can be generated by FSW fixture.

The power density of power electronics in electric vehicles (EVs) is expected to be significantly... more The power density of power electronics in electric vehicles (EVs) is expected to be significantly enhanced, which would result in higher heat flux generation. Therefore, it is critical to find an efficient heat spreading and removal technology to reduce the junction temperature for high power density power electronics application. Vapor chamber using evaporation and condensation of the inside working fluid (i.e., water) as a heat spreader can remarkably improve the uniform heat spreading and heat removal for the power electronics compared to the traditional copper heat spreader. Furthermore, high thermal conductivity graphite foam (GF) would be embedded in the vapor core of the vapor chamber to further enhance the heat transfer performance. Numerical heat transfer simulations were performed for copper heat spreader, vapor chambers (with and without the presence of graphite foam) by using ANSYS. Various parametric effects on vapor chamber thermal performance were investigated, including the effects of heat flux from power electronics, heat transfer coefficient at heat sink, vapor chamber thickness, and graphite foam. Through the simulation studies, it was found that thinner vapor chamber (1.35 mm thickness) had better heat transfer performance than thicker vapor chamber (5 mm thickness) because of the extreme high effective thermal conductivities of ultra-thin vapor chamber. Furthermore, the effect of graphite foam on thermal performance improvement was very minor for ultra-thin vapor chamber, but significant for thick vapor chamber. The GF could help reduce the junction temperature by 15-30% in the 5-mm thick vapor chamber. Use of GF embedded vapor chamber could achieve 250-400 W/cm2 local heat removal for power electronics.

Therefore, it is critical to find an efficient heat spreading and removal technology to reduce the junction temperature for high power density power electronics application. Vapor chamber using evaporation and condensation of the inside working fluid (i.e., water) as a heat spreader can remarkably improve the uniform heat spreading and heat removal for the power electronics compared to the traditional copper heat spreader. Furthermore, high thermal conductivity graphite foam (GF) would be embedded in the vapor core of the vapor chamber to further enhance the heat transfer performance. Numerical heat transfer simulations were performed for copper heat spreader, vapor chambers (with and without the presence of graphite foam) by using ANSYS. Various parametric effects on vapor chamber thermal performance were investigated, including the effects of heat flux from power electronics, heat transfer coefficient at heat sink, vapor chamber thickness, and graphite foam. Through the simulation studies, it was found that thinner vapor chamber (1.35 mm thickness) had better heat transfer performance than thicker vapor chamber (5 mm thickness) because of the extreme high effective thermal conductivities of ultra-thin vapor chamber. Furthermore, the effect of graphite foam on thermal performance improvement was very minor for ultra-thin vapor chamber, but significant for thick vapor chamber. The GF could help reduce the junction temperature by 15-30% in the 5-mm thick vapor chamber. Use of GF embedded vapor chamber could achieve 250-400 W/cm2 local heat removal for power electronics.

Fixture is design in a such way that whole process of rotational speed of the tool and the pressure by which the tool is pressed is well controlled. Result in high strength join can be generated by FSW fixture.
