Individual values' effect on the entrepreneurial
tendency is an important research topic in the field of
entrepreneurship. This research aims to investigate the
effect of individual values of business administration
students on their entrepreneurial tendency, and to
compare the effects of public and foundation university2
Business Administration students’ individual values on
their entrepreneurial tendency in Istanbul. Individual
values are measured through Schwartz Values Inventory
which has 58 items, and entrepreneurial tendency is
measured via a scale which has 50 items and is the
combination of four different scales developed by Yılmaz
and Sünbül (2009), Börü (2006), Bozkurt and Baştürk
(2011), and Bozkurt (n.d.). The research was conducted
at Istanbul University, Marmara University, Bogazici
University, Bahcesehir University, Istanbul Aydin
University, Istanbul Commerce University and Yeditepe
University with 504 final-year students studying at
Business Administration departments. As the result of
validity analyses, 6 factors for individual values scale were
identified, and 9 factors – for entrepreneurial tendency
scale. In the course of multiple linear regression analyses,
it is found that there is a significant effect of university
students’ some individual values on their entrepreneurial
tendency, and this effect partially differentiates between
public university students and foundation university
students.

The purpose of this study examines the critical changes of strategic philanthropy prevailing in the US industry in the post-recession period between 2008-2011 specific to the selected information technology firms with regards to the notion that share earnings does not have any relationship with strategic philanthropy. The study measured the impact of strategic philanthropy behavior on profitability measures: Earnings per share (EPS) and price earnings ratio (P/E). As the ecological issues are getting worse, the consumers' concerns about the environmental consciousness have led to the diversification in consumer buying approach towards a green product usage. Therefore, firms are taking action to develop potential ecological approaches in the green market industry. This paper is an attempt to explore the environmental conscious towards the green products usage and to investigate the relationship between consciousness towards the green products. The objective of the study is to understand the awareness level of the consumers on Green products in Coimbatore. Primary data was collected through the questionnaire from 150 respondents. Secondary data was collected from various published sources. The first section gives an over view on the importance of environmental consciousness, the second section analyses the awareness level of the consumers third section deals with the factors influencing green product usage followed by the findings of the study and conclusion. It is found that the consumers in Coimbatore are aware of environmental problems and green products usage in the market but the attitude and behavior towards the green purchase is not improved.

Retail small business leaders face the challenges of retaining their employees. Retail small business leaders are concerned with ineffective retention strategies, which can increase employee turnover and collapse their businesses. Grounded in Herzberg’s two-factor theory the objective of this qualitative multiple case study was to explore small retail business leaders’ strategies to retain employees. The participants comprised 5 small retail business leaders from Minneapolis, Minnesota, who had 5 to 10 years of employee retention experience. Data were collected from semistructured interviews and business documents. Data were analyzed using Yin’s 5-phase process; 5 themes emerged to include frequent communication between management and employees, employee compensation and welfare, employee engagement, employee recognition, and employee advancement. The implications for positive social change include the potential small business leaders to explore effective retention strategies, which can result in stable employment for employees and their families.

Public enterprises are organizations which operations affect the lives of the people in a country. These organizations are established, funded and controlled by the State. Most of these companies in Nigeria are underfunded, they suffer from inconsistent policies, external interference and are excessively politicized. ABSTRACT

This research project was carried to evaluate issue and development of the employee participation in management: Implication on workers performance and organizational productivity. Data were collected through questionnaires from different companies in Nigeria such as Nigeria Bottling Company Plc 9th mile Nsude, Anamco Nigeria limited. The data collected were analyzed using the simple percentage and chi-squares statistical tool was used in interpretation of the data. The results revealed that adequate employee, participated in managerial decision making in Nigeria. Employee should be trained to ensure that the qualification and experience in the job reflects their position in managerial decision’ making. The adoption of enterprise application architecture (EAA) for supply chain management (SCM) in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is influenced by the Owner’s Physiognomies & Incitements on a routine basis. EAA is essential for optimum SCM performance since it enlightens and enhances enterprise services, software, and hardware. A research study entitled, " Impact of Select Government Policies towards MSMEs: Evidence from Odisha and Andhra Pradesh " was undertaken by the researcher with the objective of measuring the impact of selected Government policies on the financials of MSMEs, the quality of their product and the overall enterprise development. An attempt is made to understand the varying perceptions of the policy makers, the policy implementers and the policy beneficiaries (MSMEs) which indeed gives rise to the gaps that make the policies ineffective. The researcher adopts a case study type research method. The research process includes a mixed methodology. It involves both quantitative as well as qualitative analysis of primary data as well as the large pool of secondary data. As part of the above research study, the existing literature has been reviewed. The literature thus reviewed constitutes the content of the current paper.

This paper examines the key variances in application and strategy between different social media management strategies and its effective marketing. Social media firms have shown a great ability to control the stages in their product life cycles. These practices lead to managers in these firms overachieving on their respective KPIs and garnering industry attention. An analysis of social media management firms practice shows those high participatory-decisions and intellectual and manual skills contributed to these organizations' successes. A close look at Chinese companies' social media activities and its relevance to Chinese social media consumers is reviewed. Other factors like introducing the 'Like' button and various innovations are observed to have improved consumers' attitudes towards the social media brand. Customer engagement and content enrichment are proven to be driving forces in how online consumers perceive the social media brand. Consumers are demonstrated to be the main means of continuous sustainability and growth for these social media businesses. Thus, there is a ripple effect across all industries to vie for social media presence and validity.

Digitalization is one of the key drivers of accelerated change in our everyday lives, both on an economic and social level. With solutions enabled through ICT technologies, we are more connected than ever on the global scale. In this next chapter of globalization, we currently experience significant transition in the structure of industries, consumer behavior and how we collect and manage data. abstract Life insurance is regarded as an essential commodity in terms of social security, which reduces or eliminates the risk of life and property. But delivering world class insurance products to the clientele has been one of the priorities for the policy makers at the time of liberalizing the insurance market in India. Hence, India has moved from the traditional insurance products that function as social security to products that are linked to investments in stock market. The present study attempts to know whether the Indian insurance buyers still perceive life insurance as a social security tool or as an attractive investment option linked to equity after deregulation. Various statistical analyses are carried out using tools such as Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Levene's Test for Equality of Variances, Tukey-HSD Multiple Comparisons to arrive at concrete findings and based on which suggestions are offered.

The purpose of this research was to examine and apply the sources of knowledge to create open innovation of the Thai automotive industry. The literature review was able to identify 11 main sources of knowledge for this study through a group meeting with executives in the automotive industry. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and visits of factories chosen from the selected companies. Analyze the data by considering the percentage of total source of knowledge obtained from the interviews of all 5 companies. To find common factors of knowledge sources that are used in the organization. Then analyze by dividing the sources of knowledge according to the sources of knowledge that are found as a group of internal sources and external sources.
The results indicated that the top four sources of knowledge used in the automotive industry were (1) in-house R&D, (2) joint with customer, which corresponds to the dimension of the new marketing with a concept of customer co-creation, (3) trial and error, and (4) best practice.

This study examines the nature of net present value. It defines the economic content of the net present value and mathematically proves that the definition is correct. This economic content inducts that the net present values are not comparable. The study
systematically eliminates the distortion effects. The net present value transforms into a special kind of rate, namely, the modified difference between the factual and the required rate of return. The ranking list according to this transformed net present value

In exercising corporate social responsibility (CSR), what primary normative standard must Catholic business firms and employers take in granting workers' wage in case the legal standard conflicts with that of the Roman Catholic Church's (RCC) moral standard? Applying the practical rationality framework of Max Weber and utilizing some secondary literature and previous studies, this article attempts to explain why Filipino firms and employers would most likely prefer paying the minimum wage (MW), the legal wage, rather than the living family wage (FLW), the moral wage taught by RCC's Catholic social teaching, despite being in a predominantly Catholic Christian country. The higher cost and complex requirements of the FLW compared to those of the MW necessitate choosing the legal wage rather than the moral wage for Catholic firms. Applying the logic of practical rationality, it argues that opting to implement the legal wage rather than the moral wage by Filipino companies and employers can be seen as the most efficient means to achieve corporate ends despite its being immoral, given the country's weak CSR on employee relations, non-material consequences for non-compliance of RCC's moral wage order, adverse local business environment, and overregulation of the labor market in the country. Although going moral is more desirable in CSR, going legal is the most efficient means for Catholic firms and employers to achieve corporate goals in the Philippines.

Business incubation is a laboratory for entrepreneurship students that would give a flexible combination of business development processes, infrastructure, experts, coaches, and mentors in designing and developing the growth of the novice entrepreneurs of the country. This is descriptive-exploratory research. The purpose of this study is to determine the practices and challenges experienced by the students on the business incubation services provided by the college as a requirement for the operation of the BS Entrepreneurship program towards a successful business plan implementation. Findings revealed that there was a poor practice on the business incubation services related to infrastructure, coaching, and networking. It was also highlighted that students were challenged on the implementation of their business plan due to the poor structure and process of the services. With the goals and strategies of the university officials for a successful entrepreneurship program implementation, there was an effort made on the establishment of the Capiz State University (CAPSU) Agri-Aqua Technology Business Incubator that would positively convey the impact on the performance of the student start-ups and eventually to its graduates.

In order to enhance more sustainable behaviour in households, companies and higher education institutes, recent research focuses on the identification of factors that have an impact on sustainable or pro-environmental behaviour. The aim of this study is to identify factors that could predict pro-environmental behaviour in the workplace. While many studies focused on the behaviour of households, this study is one of the first that focuses exclusively on pro-environmental behaviour in the workplace. Based on a comprehensive literature review, two groups of factors were identified which could predict pro-environmental behaviour in the workplace: internal factors and external factors. Next, the model was tested among employees of a green university in the Netherlands. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the theory of planned behaviour can explain pro-environmental behaviour in the workplace. At the same time, the results show that there are clear differences between factors influencing pro-environmental behaviour in households and in the workplace. Furthermore, also other factors like leadership support and exemplary pro-environmental behaviour by leaders are at stake in case of pro-environmental behaviour in the workplace, and have a significant positive impact on employee’s intention to act pro-environmentally. The findings of this study have various managerial implications for green companies and organizations in general and green universities in particular.

Abstract — The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of relational exchange and individual differences on the employee voice. In the light of social exchange theory, the present study proposed the relationship between Leader-member quality relationships and employee voice. This study explains ‘how’ this relationship establishes and ‘why’ this relationship keeps carrying on. It has been proposed that perception of organizational support mediates the association between leader-member quality relationships and employees’ promotive and prohibitive voice behaviors. Moreover, personality trait is another important factor which is inseparable from developing perceptions and behaviors. The perceptions about organizational support and the strength of raising voice can be highly predictable by individual’s personality traits. The major objective of most employers is to obtain optimum result possible from employees. The employees aspire to obtain maximum level of compensation from their labour input. Any exercise of performance evaluation may therefore be an assessment of the level of effectiveness of compensation. This paper attempts to analyse the Impact of compensation on performance of the employees. Survey research method was used'" in the conduct of the study. The researchers used questionnaires as the instrument of data collection. The data collected were analysed using descriptive method and simple percentage. The hypothesis is proffered was tested with the use of chi-square. The study revealed that there a positive relationship between compensation and employees performance. That is, if employees were adequately compensated, they wiLL perform better than those that were poorly compensated.

Abstract Purposes: The main goal of the paper is to determine the significance of selected sources of strategic information, used by Polish farmers in decision making. In addition, an attempt was made to determine the factors impacting the evaluation of those sources among the traits of the farmer and his farm. Methodology: Data was gathered using the questionnaire method and analysed with standard tools of descriptive statistics. Findings: The farmers deemed personalised sources of strategic information the most important, especially agricultural advisers, input suppliers and buyers of agricultural products. From among institutional (non-personalised) sources, local government and the chamber of agriculture were significant. Business information agencies and survey companies are the least important sources for farmers. The characteristics of the surroundings of the farm - specifically, its geographic location and the size of settlement where it is located proved to have the widest impact on the evaluation of the sources included in the study. From among the organisational factors, only farm size has a significant impact. Research limitations/implications: The study was confined to a representative group of farmers in Poland. A closed list of sources of strategic information was used. Originality/value: The study results contribute to the knowledge on the functioning of Polish agriculture and may also be used in comparative studies, characterising this sector’s diversity within Europe. They can in turn contribute to properly focusing on supporting the policy of balanced agriculture development in the EU.

The study of women’s management and leadership in education has become a central research topic and the copious work published in many countries encompasses various issues relating to gender and educational leadership. The study of female school principals from the Arab minority in Israel has only recently begun. This is a minority that lives mostly in separate settlements, distinguished from the majority Jewish population by their lifestyle and culture, in a society that can be described as developing. In-depth interviews were conducted with the seven female school principals, from different socio-cultural backgrounds, who had successfully climbed the professional ladder to senior positions in the Arab education system in Israel.
