Influencing Financial Policy

UCLA Anderson's finance faculty are world-renowned. Four have held the coveted position of president of the American Finance Association. Our faculty's backgrounds cover nearly all aspects of the field: asset pricing; derivatives; micro-structure; corporate finance; and investment finance. Their research is frequently published in the industry’s most respected publications.

Their findings have influenced policy and practice worldwide. For example, they have developed methods used in real-world scenarios to value securities and influence hedging activities. Their discoveries have also helped the banking industry determine interest rates. Our faculty members frequently consult with professional and government organizations, and they place high value on social responsibility, both in the field and in our curricula.
