Paint Poured Easter Eggs

-Supplies for this project provided by Plaid Crafts and Oriental Trading Company. This post may contain affiliate links.-

Being stuck at home the last couple of weeks has been rough, especially with all of us in the same place all the time and trying to figure out all of the schedules, schoolwork, and zoom calls with all of the different teachers. I found myself feeling extra grouchy and short with my kids and I realized I had been so busy making sure everyone else had everything they needed, got on their calls, had quiet space to do their work, and all everything else that I was not taking anytime for myself.

Now that March has arrived the weather is starting to feel a lot more like spring and I am definitely feeling ready for it, including working on spring and Easter crafts.

My family is getting ready to head to Disneyland in a couple of weeks and everyone is super excited. It has been a long time since we took a trip like this as a family. The last time we went to Disneyland was 9 year and 3 kids ago. We have been planning this trip for nearly a year and I can't believe how close it is.

Lined Paper Painted Tote Bag

My kids went back to school this week, and I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty excited about it. The last couple weeks of summer have been rough and I think it is time for us to get back into a good routine. This summer has been kind of crazy and as a result I have not had as much time to work on blog stuff. I'm hoping with kids going back to school I will have more time to work on my blog. In celebration of the kids heading back to school I thought I would share a school supply themed project.

Welcome Spring

-Supplies used in this project provided by Cricut and Oriental Trading Company-

Every month I join some of my blogger friends in a craft challenge. We have a theme based on a specific supply and we each make a project using that supply. Since March is National Craft Month we decided the theme for this month would be either using up supplies that you have on hand or using a craft kit. The timing was perfect for me because I have spent this past week moving around my office/craft room and cleaning and organizing all of my craft supplies. As a result I knew exactly what I had that could be used up.

Busy Bags

-Product for this post provided by Oriental Trading Company, this post includes affiliate links-

I am always looking for activities to keep my kids busy, especially when we go places where they need to be quiet. I thought it would be fun to put together some little busy bags with activities in them that would keep the kids entertained.

Valentine Treat Boxes

-Products used in this post provided by Cricut and Oriental Trading Company-

This week I am joining several other bloggers to share Valentine projects that we made with our Cricuts. I made some simple little popcorn style treat boxes using gold foil embossed paper. I filled them up with candy, but they could be filled with any small treats. They actually held quite a bit of candy, enough that I kind of wished I had made them a little smaller.

Kid Friendly DIY Wooden Nativity

-Product for this post provided by Oriental Trading Company-

I found these cute little wooden nativities on Oriental Trading and I thought they would be really fun for kids to make. The sets of little peg dolls include Joseph, Mary, and the Baby Jesus. You can also get a stable to set behind them. I thought the kids would love painting and decorating them so I ordered a set with the stables. I also ordered some painting supplies and felt to use to decorate. They come in a set of 6 which happens to be perfect for my family.

Button Christmas Tree Banner

-Product for this post provided by Oriental Trading Company-

My oldest daughter loves to help me make things and she was really excited to make this Button Christmas Tree Banner with me. It was easy enough that she could have done most of it by herself, maybe with a little help, or at least supervision, with the glue gun and iron. She loved picking out the buttons and laying them out to make the tree.

I was playing around with my Cricut the other day and made a little wall hanging for Thanksgiving and I thought I would share it here as a quick project idea. One night last week I got the kids in bed and was waiting for my husband to get home from work. I probably should have been working on writing up blog posts or cleaning my house but it was one of those days that I just wanted to make something. Not necessarily work on a project that I needed to do for some reason, but just sit down and play around with my craft stuff, just to be creative for no other reason than because I like to. This little banner was the result of that late night crafting session.

Thanksgiving Favor Bags

-Product for this post provided by Oriental Trading Company, post contains affliate links-

Sometimes with so many things to make at do for Christmas it seems like it can be kind of easy for Thanksgiving to get sort of forgotten about. I have lots of Christmas projects to share over the next couple of months so I wanted to make sure to take some time to share a few Thanksgiving projects over the next week or so.

Trio of Trick or Treat Bags

-Product for this post provided by Oriental Trading Company-

I have been making Trick or Treat bags for my kids and I had planned to share them over the course of a few days last week, but then life happened and I didn't get them up so I thought I would would just share them all together today. All three of these bags were made using canvas bags from Oriental Trading Company and designs that I cut out on my Cricut and ironed on. Two of them were made with basic black iron on and one was made with glitter iron on.
