TV show description:
This drama follows the lives of two brothers living in Hart, Missouri, one of whom will be elected President of the United States in the year 2040.
High school sophomore Jack McCallister (Matt Long) is a natural born leader who seems to have everything going for him, including his relationship with cheerleader Missy Belknap (Keri Lynn Pratt) and friendship with fellow track star Marcus Ride (Edwin Hodge).
On top of that, Jack helps to guide his intelligent but awkward younger brother Bobby (Logan Lerman) — often coming into conflict with their single-mother, Grace (Christine Lahti), a strong-willed and unconventional college professor. The arrival of a new college president, Peter Benedict (John Slattery), and his beautiful daughter, Courtney (Jessica Paré), makes an impression on the three McCallisters that lasts a lifetime.
The series often uses flash-forward interviews with the First Lady and members of the McCallister administration as they discuss the President and his defining moments.
