The Pyramid Code (Dr. Carmen Boulter)

The Pyramid Code (complete)
(bestphone lense) The Pyramid Code, a documentary series of five episodes, explores the pyramid fields and ancient temples in Egypt as well as ancient megalithic sites from around the world, looking for clues to matriarchal consciousness, ancient knowledge, and sophisticated technology in a Golden Age.

The series is based on the extensive research done on 23 trips to Egypt and 50 other countries around the world by Dr. Carmen Boulter in the Graduate Division of Educational Research at the University of Calgary.

The Pyramid Code features interviews with prominent scholars and authors in multidisciplinary fields: geology, physics, astrophysics, archeology, biological engineering, magnetic field theory, hieroglyphics, and Egyptology. The series explores penetrating questions:
  • Who were the ancients and what did they know?
  • Could the pyramids be much older than traditional Egyptology would have us believe?
  • Could it be that the ancients were more technologically advanced than we are today?
  • Why do we have so little understanding of the ancient Egyptians?
  • Are there still secrets hidden in plain sight?
  • Do new discoveries force the issue of establishing a new chronology?
  • Are there little-known sites that provide clues to a new understanding of our distant past?
  • Are we really the most advanced civilization to ever live on Earth?
The Egyptian pyramids have fascinated us for thousands of years. Who built them, how were they built, and why? Experts across Egypt are discovering new information that sheds light on the ancient Egyptians' pyramids and how they evolved.

One theory suggest that King Snefru's Bent Pyramid was not a mistake. Recent discoveries show how the pyramids evolved from [an Asian Buddhist stupa-like] mound of rocks and sand to flat, rectangular mastabas, to the pyramid shape, so famously exhibited in the Great pyramid of Khufu and beyond. Now the archeology is being taken a stage further with new technology.

This series shows how the next generation of archeologists is finally piecing together the secret pyramid code that might have been used by the Egyptians. Reviewer: LesLey-A.

Man claims he can tap into ancient energy fields
(Smithsonian Channel) April 6, 2020: A warden of England's Rollright Trust claims to be able to tap into the special energy of the Rollright Stones through the medieval technique known as "dowsing." Let's put this method for detecting energy anomalies to the test. From the series: "Mystic Britain: The Rollright Witch"

Let's test this claim empirically.
Simple science
: Place levels on hands to see if rod movements are due to unconscious tilts of the hand, not "energy" itself moving the metal. It may indeed be human sensitivity then translated into micro muscle movements, as seems to account for pendulum swinging. All that may be happening is that the body is the transducer, and the rods or pendulum are the outward sign of what our intuitive/sensitive body is experiencing. This "scientific" is not meant to debunk the fact that dowsing works, just to establish that it is not the energy acting directly on the rods but rather a "feeling" is being expressed by unconscious movement, the movement of the hands being the mover of the rods. It would be good to know because it is not human sensitivity, then simply place the rods on a mannequin or robot for an object test. Certainly, there are psi meters used in parapsychological investigations of allegedly haunted sites that should move where dowsers claim ley or energy lines exist. Not everything need be woo-woo if an objective test can be established to test a site. Bringing in a potted plant connected to a kind of (galvanic skin response style) lie detector connected to a sound synthesizer would be a marvelous addition to dowsing, the way British Jimmy Page used in "Whole Lotta Love" live at Madison Square Garden at their greatest performance.

Meaning of Autumnal Equinox (9/22)

Autumn Equinox's ancient spiritual meaning | Fall traditions, rituals, celebrations, sites
(Sakro Sawel1) Sept. 19, 2024: Let's take a stunningly deep dive into the traditions, ancient sites, and myths of the fall season, which begins with the autumnal equinox. It is recognized and celebrated around the world. Let's uncover the deeper spiritual meaning of this shift and its relevance today.
The autumn equinox is when day and night are equal (equi + nox = "night"), after which nights become longer than the daylight hours, and darkness becomes greater than light each day.

It was celebrated by ancient peoples for millennia and is still one of the most celebrated religious times of year. Why is the autumn equinox such an important religious event? What is its spiritual meaning?

The amazing temples of Mexico are aligned

To answer these questions, we delve into its celebration throughout history. We explore the autumn equinox tradition of Durga Puja (devotional ritual dedicated to Ma Durga) in India, which is celebrated by over a billion people, and the Persian festival of Mehregan.

We also look at the meaning of the legend of the Minotaur, the Eleusinian Mysteries (entheogenic drug rituals), the descent to Earth of the feathered serpent (reptilian Nagarajas) at Kukulkan (Quetzalcoatl) in Mexico, the hanging of the Norse god Odin on the World Tree (axis mundi), the journey of the Egyptian sun god Ra, and the crucifixion of Jesus [an element of astrotheology], which are all connected to the fall equinox.

We explore the alignments of some of the world's most enigmatic sacred sites to the autumn equinox to interpret their symbolic spiritual meaning, including the Great Pyramid and Sphinx Temple in Egypt, Ahu Akivi on Easter Island, the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent in Mexico (El Castillo at Chichen Itza), and the ancient Greek Palace of Knossos in Crete.

We also explore one of the main themes of the autumn equinox, which is the worship of a great spiritual Mother Goddess (like Ma Durga, Guanyin, Mother Mary, Inanna, and many other names).

We uncover how the beliefs and traditions of the autumn equinox are connected across cultures and how celebrating the equinox was an important component of an ancient religion of the sun that spread to different parts of the world in prehistoric times.

As part of this video, we discuss some original theories I put forward as does my husband Mark Sawel, including:
  • How the autumn equinox reveals the important role that darkness plays in life and creation
  • How the annual journey of the sun was used in ancient religions to symbolize the path to enlightenment (our Sacred Sun Path Theory)
  • The symbolism of autumn equinox alignments at the Great Pyramids and Sphinx Temple in Egypt, Ahu Akivi on Easter Island, Chichen Itza in Mexico, and Knossos in Greece, which encode a spiritual meaning connected to the theme of descent on the path of enlightenment to confront one’s own inner darkness before being spiritually reborn [like Siddhartha did under the Bodhi tree before becoming the Buddha]
  • That these ancient sites and traditions were connected as part of a now lost [worldwide] religion we call the Religion of the Sun
  • The origin of dragon and serpent (reptilian, naga) slaying myths and how their symbolism was seen by the ancients in the stars
  • The deeper meaning in the pattern of descending into the earth, underworld, matter, body, tomb, subconscious, and womb, which can be found in the life of sun gods such as Ra, Rama, Odin, Jesus, and Osiris
  • An interpretation of the story of Theseus, Ariadne, the Minotaur, and the labyrinth and how it likely derives from Minoan initiatory rites conducted on the autumn equinox.
We first published these ideas between 2011 and 2016, where more details can be found in our book Ancient Solstice, which discusses the spiritual meaning of the fall/autumn equinox and ancient sites aligned to it, as well as how to celebrate it: sakrosawel.com/ancient-solstice.

When humans went extinct; water shortage

Gary Larson explains the world.
Ever learn something that changes the way everything else is thought about? It's a rare experience but a transformative one. The facts in this gallery are designed to see the world in a new way, and it is hoped, there are a few not read before.

(eBaum's World) Who knew that the ancient Egyptians built the Great Pyramid of Giza while woolly mammoths were still roaming the Earth? When the Mexicans were building the largest known pyramid, Cholula, the wooly mammoths were also still trucking.

Extinction Protocols (stevequayle.com)
Ancient humans were so much more creative than they are given credit for but seeing as they're just the same as modern ones, that's unsurprising. A group of early humans sailed to Australia on their own, before any civilization had real means of sea travel. [Of course, they did have a means, and 50,000 years ago, aboriginals from Australia and/or New Zealand traveled to what is now the USA.]

Those blokes must have been flat-out like a lizard drinking. It's amazing early humans managed to survive at all. At one point there were only 10,000 of what we would describe as humans (Homo sapiens), and they coexisted and mated with Neanderthals and other early advanced primates.
  • What the average person does not realize about this dip in human population -- going as low as 1,000 to 10,000 individuals -- is that in demographic terms, that is extinction. There is no coming back from a crash like that, at least not without help. Here, again, the ones above (akasha devas of Tavamtimsa and the Cathumaharajika Deva LokaETs, watchers, Anunnaki/Sumerians, angry Draconians, meddling reptilians, kind Pleiadeans, interested Lyrians, and the remainder of the 58 species that regularly visit the planet).
  • There have been many ancient types of humans, and many must have coexisted at one time or another, whether they realized it or not. There were the Hobbits (Homo floresiensis) and the Denisovans.
We could have turned out quite differently, and a lot hairier. Check out those facts and plenty of others about our marvelous world in this gallery of little-known things that can change how we see the world. eBaum's World via MSN.com

Buddhist pyramids and other ruins

Pagan, Burma (Bagan, Myanmar ©soft light/Shutterstock)
Who was the architect in Taiwan who thought of Mahabodhi Temples and a pyramid?
.
Balloons really fly over Bagan as best way to see
The most memorable time to see the ancient site of Bagan is at sunrise or sunset, when the ancient peaks of this sprawling temple complex (filled with many Buddhist monuments, temples, and a thousand+ stupas) are illuminated by a soft glow.

They can best be seen in the morning by hot air balloon, but we rented a bike and drove around from ancient ruin to ruin to well-kept temple, at least one of which was like a European castle made of stone.

This living archeological site, which sits on the fertile plains of the Irrawaddy River delta, is composed of more than 1,000 red-brick temples, pagodas, palaces, and Buddhist monasteries, which were built between 1057 and 1287 AD.

Sadly in 2016, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck the site, and 185 of the buildings were damaged, with restoration work continuing to this day. It was the Pagan (\puh-gone\ not \pay-gan\) Empire, circa 1210.

[The reason there are so many is that the Burmese Theravada Buddhists learned that they could make merit by building a Buddhist monastery or monument. So they competed with one another so that ever villager of means began construction to ensure the future with good karma.]

Proof the ETs planned and built these structures: the presence of vast amounts of liquid mercury under a Chinese Buddhist tomb site, the Mexican pyramid site at Teotihuacan (40 miles from modern Mexico City), and at least one ancient Egyptian pyramid. Ancient humans mined and moved super toxic mercury for its value in energy production?

The wonders of Angkor in Cambodia, once the world's largest city
Cambodian (Khmer) Theravada Buddhist monks still use the grand monastery (Angkor Wat)
The walls, levels, peaks, and geometry represent the Buddhist universe with its many worlds
.
Buddhist Angkor (Khmer language អង្គរ, lit. "Capital City"), also known as Yasodhara-pura (Khmer យសោធរបុរៈ, Sanskrit यशोधरपुर) [1, 2], was the capital city of the Khmer Empire in the Cambodian jungle.

The city and empire flourished from approximately the 9th to the 15th centuries. The city center houses the great temple-monastery Angkor Wat, one of Cambodia's most popular tourist attractions.

These walls represent the four quarters of the sky (akasha) and the heavens (sagga) above.
.
The geometric arrangement is visible to the godlings (devas)
The name Angkor is derived from nokor (នគរ), a Khmer word meaning "kingdom," which in turn derived from Sanskrit nagara (नगर), meaning "city" [3].

The Angkorian period began in AD 802, when the Khmer Hindu monarch Jayavarman II declared himself a "universal monarch" (chakravartin) and "god-king" (deva-rajamelding church and state like the Dalai Lama system once did in Tibet before China overthrew it) and lasted until the late 14th century, first falling under Ayutthayan suzerainty in 1351.

A Khmer rebellion against Siamese (Thai) authority resulted in the 1431 sacking of Angkor by Ayutthaya, causing its population to migrate south to Longvek.

The alternate name, Yasodharapura, was derived from the name of the foster mother of Lord Krishna in Hinduism [which is also the name of Prince Siddhartha's wife before he became the Buddha].

Hinduism -- which had swallowed and melded itself with Buddhism by this time -- was the largest religion in the ancient Khmer Empire, and many temples were constructed by Khmer kings dedicated to Hindu deities, including Angkor Wat. More: Angkor

.
The great pyramid temple of Java, Indonesia: Borobudur, the largest excavated site
This Buddhist-Hindu masterpiece is the largest excavated Buddhist temple in the world. There is a larger temple complex underground in Mes Aynak, Afghanistan (ancient Gandhara) but that may stay underground due to the US war on Afghanistan's economy and chance of recovery, leaving it wholly dependent on outside investors from China.
.
From the Buddhist empires of Indonesia (Java), India, Burma, Cambodia to the Greek kingdoms Buddhist Bactria and Europe to Africa (Egypt), to China, to Mexico and the Mayan sites of modern Mesoamerica and the Indigenous dwellings of the Americas, these breathtaking ruins offer a fascinating insight into how some of the world’s oldest cultures lived. Here are 30 ancient sites that any history lover should visit at least once in their lifetime.
  • The Buddhist-Hindu temple above, with Buddhas in bells atop it, is called Borobudur, Java, Indonesia (Adel Newman/Shutterstock). One would be hard-pressed to find a more stunning sight than sunrise over Buddhist Borobudur (with the exception of the larger sites of formerly Buddhist Afghanistan or ancient Gandhara), with Mount Merapi rising up in the background. This impressive structure, located in Central Java, is the world’s largest (excavated) Buddhist temple. It was built between AD 778 and 850, under the Shailendra dynasty. (It needed to be excavated because invading Muslims could neither explain how Buddhists and Hindus built it nor could they tear it down, so they buried it in mud, and it was forgotten for many years. Then one day a British surveyor arrived with a map, looked around, and said, "That mountain does not belong there." He climbed it, dug into it, and rediscovered it for all humanity. It was cleansed of the caked mud and plants, revealing wonders that can hardly be explained today. It is so level and all made of stone without mortar or cement. How? Even with a laser level, it would be an impressive feat to build it now.] It’s thought that the ancient kingdom was used for only two centuries before volcanic activity from Merapi, between AD 928 and 1006, led Buddhist monks to abandon the sacred site. Today, it’s best visited with a guide, who can be hired for about 50,000 Indonesian rupees (US$3.22).
We are lied to. Much is kept from us. Which country has the most pyramids? No, not Egypt. Not Mexico. It is Syria. (Who even knew there were any there? If there are 167 Egyptian pyramids, there are about 220 ancient Syrian ones. Yet, we do not remember ever being shown even one of them).

The latest discovery of a Buddhist pyramid (square stupa) is in Central Asia, near Afghanistan.
.
The largest pyramid in the world? Egypt? No, not even close. The largest is in Cholula, Mexico. But there are likely larger ones in Bosnia and Indonesia, super ancient sites the size of mountains. We are not allowed to believe in those. They certainly look like pyramids from a distance. Closer up it is not as clear. They are so old they have crumbled and are overgrown. But at least in Bosnia, there is a tunnel system underneath, just as we find in Cholula, Mexico, and Egypt.

Modern Buddhist Taiwan has built the latest Buddhist pyramid with a giant Buddha behind.

Borobudur, Indonesia, in the mist, topped by many small hollow stupas with Buddhas inside.

These are the archeological remains of a mountain-sized pyramid in Indonesia.

Science is having a hard time accepting that the ancients could have built something this big.

Because Buddhist missionaries arrived in Mexico and California, the pyramids here suggest a connection to other empires and even distant ancient Egyptians who built in the Grand Canyon.

There was once a single worldwide culture connecting most if not all human groups.
The alignments and perfection of Borobudur cannot be explained, and no mortar was used.

The Borobudur site has a map of all its many surprises as it was laid out like an Angkor Wat.

Mysterious lost branch of Nile found, Egypt

Who were these mysterious ET "gods" who walked among us that we worshiped them?
Now-extinct Ahramat Branch of Nile was used to build pyramids (Eman Ghoneim et al/CNN)
.
What's the Sahara Desert's Nile got to do with it?
Egypt’s Great Pyramid and other ancient monuments at Giza exist on an isolated strip of land in Africa at the edge of the Sahara Desert.

The inhospitable location has long puzzled archaeologists, some of whom had found evidence that the Nile River once flowed near these pyramids in some capacity, facilitating the landmarks’ construction starting 4,700 years ago.

Using satellite imaging and analysis of cores of sediment, a new study published Thursday (5/16/24) in the journal Communications Earth & Environment has mapped a 40-mile (64-kilometer) long, dried-up, branch of the Nile, long buried beneath farmland and desert.

“Even though many efforts to reconstruct the early Nile waterways have been conducted, they have largely been confined to soil sample collections from small sites, which has led to the mapping of only fragmented sections of the ancient Nile channel systems,” said lead study author Eman Ghoneim, a professor and director of the Space and Drone Remote Sensing Lab at the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s department of Earth and ocean sciences.

“This is the first study to provide the first map of the long-lost ancient branch of the Nile River.”

Prof. Ghoneim and her colleagues refer to this extinct branch of the Nile River as Ahramat, which is Arabic for “pyramids.”

Red Pyramid at Dahshur necropolis is located near now-defunct arm of Nile (Ghoneim)
.
The ancient waterway would have been about one-third of a mile (0.5 kilometers) wide with a depth of at least 82 feet (25 meters) — similar to the contemporary Nile River, Prof. Ghoneim said.

“The large size and extended length of the Ahramat Branch and its proximity to the 31 pyramids in the study area strongly suggests a functional waterway of great importance,” Prof. Ghoneim said.

She said the river would have played a key role in ancient Egyptians’ transportation of the enormous amount of building materials and laborers needed for the pyramids’ construction.

“Also, our research shows that many of the pyramids in the study area have [a] causeway, a ceremonial raised walkway, that runs perpendicular to the course of the Ahramat Branch and terminates directly on its riverbank.”

Hidden traces of a lost waterway
The researchers collected soil samples to confirm findings because Nile branch was invisible.
.
Traces of the river aren’t visible in aerial photos or in imagery from optical satellites, Prof. Ghoneim said. In fact, she only spotted something unexpected while studying radar satellite data of the wider area for ancient rivers and lakes that might reveal a new source of groundwater.

“I am a geomorphologist, a paleohydrologist looking into landforms. I have this kind of trained eye,” she said. “While working with this data, I noticed this really obvious branch or a kind of riverbank, and it didn’t make any sense because it is really far from the Nile,” she added.

Born and raised in Egypt, Prof. Ghoneim was familiar with the cluster of pyramids in this area and had always wondered why they were built there.

She applied to the National Science Foundation to investigate further, and geophysical data taken at ground level with the use of ground-penetrating radar and electromagnetic tomography confirmed it was an ancient arm of the Nile.

Two long cores of earth the team extracted using drilling equipment revealed sandy sediment consistent with a river channel at a depth of about 82 feet (25 meters).

It’s possible that “countless” temples might still be buried beneath the agricultural fields and desert sands along the riverbank of the Ahramat Branch, according to the study.

Red Pyramid at Dahshur necropolis is located near now-defunct arm of Nile (Ghoneim/CNN)
.
Why this branch of the river dried up or disappeared is still unclear. Most likely, a period of drought and desertification swept sand into the region, silting up the river, Prof. Ghoneim said.

The study demonstrated that when the pyramids were built, the geography and riverscapes of the Nile differed significantly from those of today, said Nick Marriner, a geographer at the French National Centre for Scientific Research in Paris.

He was not involved in the study but has conducted research on the fluvial history of Giza.

“The study completes an important part of the past landscape puzzle,” Marriner said.

“By putting together these pieces we can gain a clearer picture of what the Nile floodplain looked like at the time of the pyramid builders and how the ancient Egyptians harnessed their environments to transport building materials for their monumental construction endeavors.”
